General Summary:
Unum is seeking a Lead HRIS Analyst to join the HR Technology team to support our Corporate Real Estate, Safety and Security, and Facilities technology! This pivotal role requires hands-on technical and functional experience with corporate real estate technology, specifically utilizing the ServiceNow Field Service Management module.
As a Lead HRIS Analyst, you will implement, configure, maintain, and support software platforms for Corporate Real Estate systems (ServiceNow, Airtable, Modo, etc.). Your focus will be on leveraging these systems globally, recommending and driving process improvements, and delivering innovative solutions that add real value to business operations.
The perfect candidate is passionate about collaborating with business leaders and cross-functional teams, managing technical vendors, and enhancing the employee experience.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain expertise in Workday, ServiceNow, and related technologies to serve as a super user and functional expert for the People & Communications department and internal customers.
- Oversee system configuration across several P&C functional areas, addressing business process workflows, modifications, security, and more as dictated by business needs.
- Identify opportunities to utilize P&C systems and application functionalities more effectively in alignment with business strategies and processes.
- Proactively suggest and implement process improvements and innovative solutions that enhance business value.
- Participate in the identification and implementation of new systems when necessary, along with ongoing assessments, management, and administration of existing systems.
- Collaborate with functional areas, process owners, and business partners to leverage the capabilities of Workday, ServiceNow, and other technologies, researching product roadmaps to align with Unum's business goals.
- Serve as the lead technology subject matter expert (SME) for assigned functional areas.
- Manage projects requiring coordination across multiple resources, ensuring timely delivery of objectives for small to medium-sized initiatives.
- Actively contribute to HRIS system projects and initiatives, clarifying deliverables while aiding in the development of project timelines, plans, and resources.
- Conduct thorough problem analysis to effectively resolve issues.
- Troubleshoot system and integration challenges, pinpointing root causes and enacting corrective measures to prevent recurrences.
- Facilitate communication between vendors and internal customers to ascertain requirements and make minor system modifications.
- Develop, review, and update system documentation following any changes or new implementations.
- Provide oversight for Tier 3 inquiries from end users and support HRIS Analysts in identifying root causes behind issues such as configuration, data integrity, or network problems.
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in HRIS business analysis or a related field.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments while meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with systems configuration and data analysis capabilities.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills for engaging both technical and functional end users.
- Demonstrated capacity to support and implement standardization, optimization, and simplification of processes and technical solutions.
- Ability to collaborate with customers effectively, interpreting requirements and translating results for analysis.

The base salary range for this position is $73,300.00 - $150,500.00. Actual pay will depend on skills, geographical location, and experience.
Moreover, Unum offers a comprehensive portfolio of benefits and rewards, including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, generous paid time off, and an employer-matched 401(k) retirement plan up to 5%, plus an additional 4.5% contribution, regardless of employee contributions.
