ServiceNow MariaDB Server Administrator

The Role:

Support the EITaaS contract for the United States Air Force as a ServiceNow MariaDB Server Administrator in our innovative IT team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and configure MariaDB databases in self-hosted ServiceNow environments.
• Develop technical solutions, implement them, and perform thorough testing.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and subject matter experts on ServiceNow MariaDB criteria and configuration.
• Require intermediate to senior level proficiency in ServiceNow and MariaDB.
• Fundamental understanding of relational databases is necessary.
• A proven track record of self-motivation and comfort in dynamic technical environments is required.
• Organized and analytical individuals can work in teams, meet project schedules, and handle multiple priorities.
• Experience in operating REHL servers and system administration is preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills are necessary.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and influencing stakeholders through consultative approaches are required.
• Understand ServiceNow and MariaDB technical design requirements.
• Load balancing and network performance knowledge related to database queries is beneficial.
• Participate in developing system documentation and technical reports.
• Agile ceremonies and backlog refinement participation is expected.
• 5 days of onsite work in Chantilly, VA, is required to be close to self-hosted ServiceNow instances.

Requirements:

• 15+ years of relevant experience or a bachelor's degree in a relevant field may substitute 5 years.
• Advanced experience with ServiceNow implementations, including managing and operating MariaDB in clustered environments is necessary.
• Relational database experience (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) is required.
• Experience with scripted aspects of the ServiceNow system (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs) is beneficial.
• ServiceNow client and server-side JavaScript expertise, as well as ServiceNow APIs, are necessary.
• Scripted Web-Services, AJAX, Business Rules, JavaScript, SOAP, REST SSO-SAML Setup, and Integration of ServiceNow to Other Applications are required.
• Active DoD secret clearance is necessary.
• One of the following certifications is required:
• Certified ServiceNow Developer.
• Certified ServiceNow Administrator.
• Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM, CSM, or similar).
