Application Systems Specialist

ServiceNow Developer Position

The role of ServiceNow developer is responsible for the administration and development of ServiceNow solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the administration and maintenance of ServiceNow, reviewing, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents and requests.
• Developing solutions in ServiceNow to meet business requirements and improve functionality of the system.
• Configuring out-of-the-box workflows and creating/maintaining custom workflows, business rules, UI policies, and scripts.
• Integrating ServiceNow applications with third-party systems and applications via APIs and web services.
• Overseeing the daily operations of the ServiceNow platform, including monitoring performance, managing updates, and ensuring system stability.
• Managing data imports, exports, and integrations with other systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for configurations, customizations, and development processes.
• Analyzing existing programs and formulating logic for new systems. Devising logic procedures, preparing flowcharting, performing coding and testing/debugging for a wide range of programs using creativity.
• Analyzing requirements and maintaining, testing, and integrating application components.
• Maintaining current knowledge and skills on relevant topics and technologies. Including pursuing/maintaining technical certifications, as appropriate.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems related disciplines; five years of experience as a developer; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in a related field.
• 1+ years experience as a ServiceNow developer or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, or AngularJS.
• Experience integrating cloud solutions with on-premises solutions and with other cloud solutions.
• Familiarity with ITIL and IT Service Management.
• Experience with AJAX, JSON, and integration techniques.
• Self-starter with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience administering or developing ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, Discovery, SAM Pro, SPM, and/or IRM.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of multi-department teams on large enterprise projects.
• ServiceNow certifications such as Certified Systems Administrator or Certified Application Developer.
