Job Overview
The ESM ServiceNow Architect is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions that support enterprise Service Management across the organization. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translating them into technical solutions, and ensuring the efficient use of the ServiceNow platform.
The ESM ServiceNow Architect must have extensive experience in ServiceNow Orchestration, IT Operations Management (ITOM), MID Server, Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Domain Separation, and Service Portal.
Key Responsibilities:
- ServiceNow Orchestration: Design and implement automated workflows and processes using ServiceNow Orchestration. Develop custom orchestration activities and integrate with third-party systems. Ensure efficient and reliable automation of IT service management tasks.
- IT Operations Management (ITOM): Architect and implement ITOM solutions to enhance IT infrastructure visibility and control. Utilize ServiceNow modules such as Discovery, Event Management, and Operational Intelligence. Ensure accurate and up-to-date monitoring and management of IT operations.
- ServiceNow MID Server: Deploy and manage ServiceNow MID Servers to facilitate communication between ServiceNow and other systems. Ensure the MID Servers are secure, reliable, and optimized for performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MID Server configuration and connectivity.
- ServiceNow CMDB: Design and maintain an accurate and comprehensive CMDB to support IT service management processes. Ensure proper configuration item (CI) relationships and dependencies are captured. Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to maintain CMDB data integrity.
- ServiceNow Domain Separation: Implement and manage domain separation in ServiceNow to support multi-tenant environments. Ensure proper configuration and security of domain-specific data and processes. Provide guidance on best practices for maintaining domain-separated instances.
- ServiceNow Service Portal: Design and develop user-friendly and responsive Service Portals to enhance user experience. Customize portals to meet business requirements and branding guidelines. Ensure seamless integration of Service Portal with other ServiceNow modules.
- Solution Architecture: Develop comprehensive architectural designs and documentation for ServiceNow implementations. Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in ServiceNow solutions and IT processes. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance service delivery and efficiency. Monitor and report on the performance of implemented solutions, making recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow architecture and implementation.
- Proven experience in designing and deploying complex ServiceNow solutions.
- Experience developing and implementing systems using Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Skills: Must be knowledgeable in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations. In-depth knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, including its architecture, modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM), and capabilities.
- Strong expertise in ServiceNow Orchestration, ITOM, MID Server, CMDB, Domain Separation, and Service Portal.
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and high-performance ServiceNow solutions that meet business requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to present complex technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in creating detailed technical documentation, design documents, and user guides.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of Capgemini Organizational Change Management.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to IT Service Management and ServiceNow.
- Understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions including: SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SOAP, SCP, FTPS, JSON.
Preferred Qualifications/Certifications:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in at least one module.
- ServiceNow Developer certification a plus.
- ITIL 4 Foundation Certification.
- Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Client Operations Orchestrator, BMC Atrium Orchestrator).
