Solutions Architect – ServiceNow

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect – ServiceNow to shape and drive the strategic vision for the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Common Service Data Model (CSDM). This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking to ensure the CMDB and CSDM frameworks deliver maximum value across the organization. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring data accuracy, establishing governance, and aligning IT Service Management practices with broader business objectives.

What You’ll Do

  • Data Integrity & Quality: Champion accuracy and consistency of CMDB/CSDM data, establishing best practices and proactive validation measures.
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of managers, administrators, and analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Service Mapping: Define and manage service dependencies, relationships, and integrations to support IT operations and business needs.
  • Strategy Development: Create and execute a roadmap for CMDB and CSDM adoption, ensuring scalability, compliance, and business alignment.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with IT and business leaders to ensure CMDB/CSDM practices meet evolving organizational demands.
  • Governance: Enforce data governance standards, policies, and processes to safeguard compliance and integrity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to refine workflows and enhance CMDB/CSDM efficiency.
  • Innovation: Stay current on industry advancements, applying emerging trends and tools to enhance system capabilities.

Decision-Making & Impact

  • Own and lead the organization-wide CMDB/CSDM strategy.
  • Direct an operations team responsible for CMDB management and ongoing evolution.
  • Shape the portfolio of initiatives tied to CMDB/CSDM maturity and adoption.
  • Approve modifications to processes, data models, and tool configurations.
  • Authorize initiatives that improve data quality, compliance, and performance.
  • Ensure cost-effective use of tools, resources, and process improvements.

What You’ll Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (healthcare industry knowledge a plus).
  • Experience: 10+ years in IT, with extensive knowledge of IT project/application management and regulated environments.
  • Hands-on expertise in ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM design, configuration, and deployment.
  • Proven ability to present complex technical strategies to executive leadership with clarity and influence.
  • Strong track record of building consensus across diverse stakeholders and IT/business teams.
  • Deep understanding of ITIL frameworks and ITSM processes.

Preferred Skills

  • Broad knowledge of the ServiceNow platform beyond CMDB/CSDM.
  • Experience with quality/validation processes and SDLC methodologies.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to inspire confidence across teams.
