OneMain Financial is on the hunt for a dynamic and technically adept Software Engineering Manager to lead and enhance our ServiceNow practice. This pivotal role resides at the junction of operations, automation, and digital transformation.

In this position, you will oversee and grow a skilled team of ServiceNow analysts, engineers, and specialists, working to position the platform as a vital asset for partner teams throughout the enterprise, including Production Operations, Application Development, Enterprise Architecture, Identity Access Management, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, Facilities, Procurement, Finance, and Cybersecurity.

Your primary responsibility will not be to manage functional delivery in these domains but to ensure the ServiceNow platform and your team provide the efficiencies, automations, integrations, and AI-driven enhancements necessary for teams to operate effectively and securely.

This role combines architectural and platform expertise with leadership, calling for a genuine passion for utilizing enterprise platforms to modernize service requests, fulfillment, governance, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Operations Enablement via ServiceNow:

  • Enable Production Operations teams through ideal workflows for Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management.
  • Decrease response times and manual triage by integrating observability and alerting platforms for automated incident workflows.
  • Furnish role-specific dashboards for support managers to enhance SLA adherence and performance analytics.
  • Promote operational resilience through effective Change Management and CI/CD integration.
  • Improve root cause visibility through structured After-Action Reviews and automated incident-to-knowledge conversion.

Enterprise Architecture and Platform Strategy Alignment:

  • Deliver a governed, extensible platform for business service modeling and data normalization.
  • Support internal toolchain automation by exposing reusable applications and workflows.
  • Maintain well-modeled CMDB constructs aligned with enterprise data architecture.
  • Provide telemetry and performance KPIs for analysis of service stability and fulfillment efficiency.

Application Development Support and Automation Acceleration:

  • Empower AppDev teams with self-service intake and standardized infrastructure request catalogs.
  • Integrate with tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and Azure for automated infrastructure changes.
  • Minimize administrative tasks through prebuilt fulfillment automations.
  • Collaborate on dashboards that combine release events and CI performance metrics.

Identity and Access Management Lifecycle Support:

  • Provide secure access request workflows to IAM teams via ServiceNow.
  • Synchronize lifecycle events through integrations with identity providers.
  • Empower access reviewers with visibility into entitlement approvals and change histories.

HR Service Delivery and People Systems Integration:

  • Partner with HR to scale HRSD capabilities for various employee lifecycle processes.
  • Integrate systems like Workday for seamless event triggers and task assignments.
  • Create an Employee Center experience to unify cross-departmental services.

Cybersecurity, Risk, and Compliance Enablement:

  • Provide automation and policy attestation workflows for Cyber and GRC teams.
  • Ingest telemetry for risk enrichment and event correlation.
  • Implement data flow controls for compliance with standards like PCI and PII.

IT Operations Management (ITOM):

  • Enable the CMDB strategy by delivering a reliable and normalized configuration database.
  • Govern Discovery schedules and maintain accurate infrastructure topology.

IT Asset Management (ITAM):

  • Scale ITAM capabilities across hardware, software, and cloud assets with cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Integrate with inventory systems for full lifecycle visibility.

Innovation and AI-Driven Evolution:

  • Establish ServiceNow as a hub for AI-first service delivery.
  • Embed Generative AI across workflows to enhance service delivery.

Education, Coaching, and Organizational Enablement:

  • Lead and develop ServiceNow talent through structured growth frameworks.
  • Coach departments on platform capabilities and best practices.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master’s preferred.
  • 5-7+ years in enterprise IT, with 5+ years in direct ServiceNow leadership.
  • Hands-on experience with ITSM, CMDB, ITOM, and AI-driven workflows.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in ServiceNow modules and integrations.
  • Proficient in scripting and app design.
