Job Description

ServiceNow's Advanced Technology Group (ATG) is a customer-focused innovation group building intelligent software and smart user experiences using existing and latest advanced technologies to enable end-to-end, industry-leading work experiences for customers. We are a group of researchers, applied scientists, engineers, program managers, and product managers with a dual mission. We build and evolve the AI platform, and partner with teams to build products and end-to-end AI-powered work experiences. In equal measure, we lay the foundations, research, experiment, and de-risk AI technologies that unlock new work experiences in the future.

This position is part of the ATG Data Enablement team responsible for successful orchestration of complex cross-functional, cross-BU data initiatives with the goal of enabling and propelling AI innovation in ServiceNow. We are looking for a dynamic and highly effective Program Manager to bring together all constituents and drive alignment on outcomes, priorities, deliverables, and plans, and ensure successful execution.

To be successful, you must excel at clear communication across teams and levels of the organization and be able to work well with business and technology experts. What you get to do in this role:

  • Manage high-profile, complex, multi-disciplinary Data for AI program to help the teams achieve the intended outcomes.
  • Work closely with Data for AI scrum teams to deliver a high-quality product on time
  • Deeply understand the functional and the technology aspects of the work involved and build strong partnership with the business, engineering, and product teams
  • Develop the overall prioritization, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria for these programs and ensure alignment with key stakeholders and leadership
  • Organize the cross-functional workstreams and establish clear and well-understood roles and responsibilities.
  • Set up program management and governance operating model, processes, and tools
  • Manage the process (and create one if it does not exist) to drive backlog grooming and prioritization, identifying dependencies & sequencing the deliverables, and securing cross-functional teams' commitment.
  • Develop plans and help the teams stay on track by monitoring and providing on-going visibility to program status (progress against key milestones, key decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, metrics, etc.) to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent program teams from delivering on program outcomes.
  • Generate new data needs and requirements and analyze trends to provide actionable insights to senior leadership
  • Provide a proactive, strategic perspective on improvements to the business, SDLC or infrastructure processes
  • Create a collaborative team environment that fosters trust, creativity, speed, innovation, and learning.
  • Be a thought leader who can help accelerate the capabilities delivery and challenge others to change.

Qualifications

In order to be successful in this role, you will need the following:

Basic Qualifications/Skills:

  • 8+ Years of Program Management Experience managing complex cloud-native products, applications, and platforms
  • Strong hands-on experience with Enterprise Agile Program Management
  • Experience managing data-focused projects across cross functional teams in multiple geo-locations, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Deep understanding of Systems Engineering principles in product development
  • Experience creating scalable program structure from ambiguities
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with multiple stakeholders across businesses, leadership, and teams.
  • Fast learner who can master technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and organization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in rapidly standing up processes and collaborative platforms like SharePoint, and building reports and dashboards
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and fun team environment
  • A team player attitude, who will work across the organization and company to continue improving the way we serve our customers.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline Preferred.
  • Knowledge in data engineering, machine learning technologies, statistical systems, or big data platforms
  • Solid technical background with hands-on experience in the cloud or cloud-related technologies
  • Proven results from establishing and optimizing software engineering processes for different organizations/environments
