They are seeking a CMDB Manager to manage the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ensure data accuracy for IT assets and services, while also collaborating with various teams to drive CMDB adoption and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor CMDB health using ServiceNow’s CMDB Workspace and CMDB Health Dashboard to implement remediation strategies for stale, orphaned, or duplicate CIs.
  • Maintain the ServiceNow CMDB classes, data relationships, and reconciliation rules via CMDB Workspace and CMDB Health dashboards.
  • Partner with our ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping admins to validate data integrity.
  • Align CMDB design with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and enforce normalization and data quality standards.
  • Develop and implement Servicenow Data Manager policies to automate manual processes
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the ITOM/CMDB roadmap, aligning it with the organization's overall IT strategy and business objectives.
  • Define and enforce CI lifecycle policies, reconciliation logic, and data certification workflows
  • Develop real-time dashboards, reports and Key performance to track CMDB health, accuracy, and operational impact.
  • Leverage Servicenow Analytics tools to identify historical trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities
  • Partner with our Servicenow Platform team, business and application teams, and finance to understand data requirements and ensure accurate representation in the CMDB.
  • Translate business and operational requirements into technical specifications and ServiceNow configurations.
  • Lead technical workshops, design reviews, and governance forums to drive CMDB adoption and maturity.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow releases, ITOM best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Establish data quality methods and standards, peer review processes, and configuration governance for ITOM development.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Represent the CMDB/ITOM function in enterprise architecture, product strategy, and ServiceNow community engagements.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing across IT and business units.

Skills

  • 10+ years of data management experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience, with deep expertise in CMDB
  • Extensive working knowledge of Discovery, Service Mapping and ITOM modules.
  • Strong understanding of ITSM, ITOM, and SPM frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Proven experience with ServiceNow integrations
  • Strong grasp of ITIL processes and enterprise service management principles.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
