[Remote] ServiceNow Developer (CSM / Procurement / ITSM)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Next Orbits INC is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to support delivery across Customer Service Management, Procurement, and ITSM modules within a large enterprise ServiceNow environment. The role involves building, enhancing, and stabilizing workflows and integrations to support global operations, requiring initiative and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• ● Module Development: Configure and extend ServiceNow CSM, Procurement, and ITSM modules—build case types, catalog items, vendor and request workflows, and custom UI actions.
• ● Automation & Workflow: Create and optimize automation using Flow Designer, Script Includes, Business Rules, UI Policies, and Client Scripts
• ● Integration Delivery: Support and maintain integrations with Azure APIM, Primavera P6, Procore, and Yardi via REST/SOAP APIs and MID Server.
• ● Governed Agile Delivery: Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release reviews; ensure code, documentation, and change records meet governance standards.
• ● Operational Readiness: Prepare deployment plans, support go-lives, and troubleshoot post-release issues; ensure smooth handoff to ServiceNow Operations.
• ● Documentation & Traceability: Produce clear, maintainable documentation for technical solutions, including flow diagrams, data mappings, and release notes.
• ● Continuous Improvement: Identify and propose enhancements to workflows, integrations, or platform performance based on recurring operational issues.

Skills

• 4–6 years of ServiceNow development experience, preferably in enterprise or global delivery environments.
• Strong knowledge of CSM (case management, portals, SLAs, entitlements) and ITSM fundamentals (Incident, Request, Change).
• Experience configuring Procurement / Vendor Management modules or equivalent sourcing workflows.
• Hands-on experience building integrations using REST / SOAP APIs, Scripted REST APIs, and MID Servers.
• Familiarity with Azure API Management, authentication flows, and data lake connectivity patterns.
• Skilled in Flow Designer, Glide scripting, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and ACLs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead own workstream with minimal supervision, proactively manage blockers, and deliver to deadlines.
• Solid understanding of governance practices (code review, change control, testing, documentation).
• Strong written and spoken English; capable of maintaining professional, asynchronous communication with North American counterparts.
• Exposure to FSM or field operations modules.
• Prior experience working across distributed, multi-time-zone teams.
• ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS-CSM, CIS-ITSM) preferred.
• Consistent, detail-oriented, and accountable for code quality and documentation completeness.
