Job Title: ServiceNow Support Analyst and Application Developer
Work Location : Dallas, TX / Middletown NJ / Atlanta GA REMOTE ( visit site for workshop if asked )
Job Summary:
We are seeking dynamic and skilled ServiceNow Support Analysts and Application Developers to support and enhance our ServiceNow platform. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of ServiceNow applications, with a strong emphasis on UI development, API integrations, and application troubleshooting.
The ideal candidates will be responsible for:
- Timely incident resolution and problem management,
- Delivering high-quality UI/UX experiences,
- Building and maintaining REST/SOAP API integrations,
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the ServiceNow ecosystem
This is a hands-on technical role requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to ITIL processes, and a proactive approach to platform optimization.
Key Responsibilities by Tier:
Application Developer
- Proactively monitor, Investigate and resolve ServiceNow dashboards and ticket queues related with UI/API-related issues, performance anomalies, Script errors, widget failures and integration failures.
- Perform initial triage of incoming incidents and service requests, ensuring accurate categorization, prioritization, and assignment based on impact and urgency.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and technical fixes to support audit readiness and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure SLA compliance by tracking resolution timelines, proactively managing escalations, and maintaining timely communication with stakeholders and end users.
- Contribute to the knowledge base by documenting recurring issues, troubleshooting steps, and best practices for UI/API support and development.
- Develop and enhance ServiceNow UI elements such as Service Portal pages, catalog items, and client/server scripts.
- Build and debug REST/SOAP API integrates with third-party systems, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange.
- Collaborate with QA, business analysts, and support teams to validate fixes and ensure functional accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve common UI issues, including form layout inconsistencies, client script errors, catalog item misconfigurations, and portal rendering problems.
- Architect and implement advanced UI solutions using Service Portal, GlideForm, AngularJS, and custom widgets.
- Design and maintain robust, scalable API integrations using REST/SOAP, OAuth, and MID Servers.
- Optimize performance of client/server scripts and asynchronous calls across the platform.
- Drive platform upgrades, patching, and custom application development initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, AngularJS.
- Experience with ServiceNow Studio, Service Portal, and Flow Designer.
- Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and integration patterns.
- Familiarity with Glide APIs, ACLs, and Business Rules.
- Certifications:
- ServiceNow CSA (mandatory)
- CAD, ITIL Foundation (preferred for Tier 2/3)
