EX - Technical Writer Internships

Join ServiceNow as a Technical Writing Intern to create product documentation and collaborate with development teams in a flexible, remote internship.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating product documentation for end users and system administrators
• Authoring content primarily in DITA/XML environments
• Researching, writing, and ensuring accuracy of content for current and future product releases
• Working closely with multiple development teams in an Agile environment
• Conducting peer reviews of documentation
• Collaborating with other information developers to produce and share content for blogs, product documentation, knowledge base, and video

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Liberal Arts, Communications, Technical Communications, or related field, with up to two years of experience
• Graduating December 2025 or later
• Able to work full time for 12 weeks during the summer
• Ability to provide a solid writing sample demonstrating research, analysis, and critical thinking, including a summary of project creation and deadlines
• Experience working in markup languages such as DITA, HTML, XML, or SGML
• Ability to learn highly technical products quickly using pre-release software and internal documentation
• Strong research skills through interviews and experimentation
• Passion for writing and improving the writing of others
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely
• Collaborative interaction with peers from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Experience leveraging or critically thinking about integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving

Compensation & Benefits

• Base pay of $24.48 - $31.39 per hour, plus equity (when applicable) and variable/incentive compensation
