Job Title: ServiceNow Product Development Consultant
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee ServiceNow product development from planning to post-deployment support.
- Manage development timelines, feature delivery, and release schedules.
- Translate business requirements into actionable development plans.
- Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration across technical, business, and vendor teams.
- Implement and monitor application governance for ServiceNow modules and integrations.
- Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices and integration standards.
- Manage CMDB structure, data quality, and Discovery tool implementation.
- Support Agile or Scrum delivery processes, including sprint planning and backlog management.
- Ensure compliance with Florida IT governance rules and enterprise standards.
- Communicate technical and functional updates to stakeholders.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain documentation of configurations, CMDB structures, and Discovery processes.
- Provide user training and support for new ServiceNow features.
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Required: ServiceNow System Administrator Certification
- Preferred: Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), PMP, ITIL Foundation, or Agile/Scrum Certification.
Required Experience:
- IT Product Development & Lifecycle Management: Minimum 7 years in IT product development, managing timelines, release planning, feature delivery, and post-deployment support.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Minimum 5 years leading complex, multi-team product or technology solution delivery in high-tech or government environments.
- ServiceNow Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with ServiceNow development, implementation, enhancement, workflows, modules, and system integrations.
- CMDB & Discovery Tool Oversight: Experience managing CMDB structure, data quality, governance, and ServiceNow Discovery tool implementation, including automated asset discovery and integration.
- Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication skills; proficiency with SharePoint 365, Microsoft Project, and Azure DevOps.
Preferred Experience:
- Alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
- Experience in software quality, testing, prototyping, and validation.
- Process improvement and continuous delivery practices.
- Exposure to government or large-scale enterprise projects.
- Customer-facing or training support experience.
