Overview
GovCIO is seeking a skilled ServiceNow Administration and Development Expert to play a key role in enhancing our IT service management solutions for the US Coast Guard program. Join us in a fully remote capacity and become part of a dynamic team committed to transforming government IT.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and execution of an ITSM strategy, focusing on improving efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.
- Provide expert ITSM recommendations for the implementation of best practices covering policies, guidelines, and processes.
- Be proactive and effective in both independent and collaborative work settings, especially with remote teams and clients.
- Design and develop insightful queries, reports, and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making.
- Configure and design ServiceNow modules and forms tailored to user needs.
- Administer ServiceNow applications, managing security protocols and workflow configurations.
- Create and develop scoped applications alongside a user-friendly service portal.
- Offer additional support within your area of expertise to elevate service offerings.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree coupled with a minimum of 12 years in relevant fields is required.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 8 years of comprehensive IT experience.
- A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow developer across various roles.
- Deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform.
- Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Jelly, HTTP, and XML.
- Experience with REST and SOAP services.
- Familiarity with ITIL principles; ITIL certification is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Valid ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certificate.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is preferred.
- ITIL Foundation certification is desirable.
- ServiceNow Developer Certification.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist.

Posted Salary Range
Expected salary range: USD $180,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 per year.
Clearance Requirement
An active Secret clearance is required.
