As a Senior ServiceNow ITOM and ITAM Technical Consultant, you will work with clients on ServiceNow engagements, executing various roles within the team and providing technical oversight and support.
Responsibilities
- Refine stories
- Collaborate with business consultants to align technical work with process goals
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to the implementation team
- Ensure adherence to ServiceNow platform standards and customer security policies
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support sprint deliverables
- Provide advisory support
- Troubleshoot issues and support UAT and go-live activities
- Deliver documentation and support knowledge transfer
- Partner with the team to resolve UAT findings
- Strong software development and debug/troubleshooting skills, Advanced ability to research, analyze and recommend improvements to the organization’s use of the system
- Build and deploy UI policies, UI actions, script includes, scheduled jobs, import sets and transform maps
- Maintain existing and develop additions to the service catalog and related workflows
- Implement software solutions using ServiceNow tools and best practices
- Assist in building workflows and writing automated scripts
- Maintenance and continuous improvement of the processes, standards, policies, working methods, and tools
- Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its integrated applications.
- Load, manipulate and maintain data between ServiceNow and other systems.
- ServiceNow ITOM and ITAM Asset Management
- Lead Workshops, Tech Solutioning, Development, unit testing for: ITOM Discovery and/or Service Mapping and/or ITAM SAM Pro and/or ITAM HAM Pro
- Demo CMDB Health and Service Map solutions
- Set up On-premise and SaaS provider integrations to 3rd party asset applications (e.g., MS Office, Adobe Cloud, such as SCCM/InTune/Entra, Tanium, Jamf, etc.)
- Execute discovery runs that mirror development work to ensure like for like functionality and validate data collection
- Create and utilize reports and dashboards to demonstrate current and historical usage
- Assist with configuring content libraries, SCCM/InTune/Entra and Jamf Service Graph Connectors
- Configure Advanced Shipment Notification (ASN) from a vendor for automatic asset creation
- Assist with data loads, including stockroom creation
Skills
- 5+ years experience of ServiceNow technical experience
- Current Certifications: ServiceNow System Administrator, Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery, Certified Implementation Specialist – SAM
- Advanced skill in configuring and supporting ServiceNow including architecture experience
- Experience implementing ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping
- ServiceNow Custom Reporting, Performance Analytics, and Dashboarding experience
- Strong ITIL methodology competency
- Ability to work remotely and largely unsupervised
- Experience producing and delivering written requirements and creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Experience producing and executing test scripts and test plans
- Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem solving ability
- Strong team player with ability to build positive and collaborative relationships within the organization
- Willingness to develop professionally and eager to learn
- Certified Implementation Specialist – Service Mapping
- Certified Implementation Specialist – HAM Pro
