The ServiceNow Solution Architect II in IM Application Development will play a vital role in designing and overseeing IT systems architecture, with a strong emphasis on scalability, reliability, and security tailored for healthcare hospital environments. You will lead intricate system design initiatives, collaborate closely with both technical and business teams, and ensure that our IT infrastructure aligns perfectly with enterprise objectives. This position calls for extensive experience in healthcare IT systems, enterprise architecture, and project management methodologies such as SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall.
Role Overview:
As the IT Architect II, your responsibilities will include the design of IT systems—covering aspects like system infrastructure, security, application architecture, and software and data lifecycle management. You will uphold the enterprise architectural framework necessary for crafting, developing, and deploying information and business systems, proactively prioritizing pivotal technology enablers to achieve enterprise-level objectives while ensuring the systems' scalability, reliability, and availability. Your leadership will be crucial in evaluating platform growth and engaging with demanding enterprise service level requirements to identify, design, and implement top-tier technology solutions.
This role requires exceptional collaboration and communication skills to effectively translate complex requirements into actionable functional architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in shaping the information system vision and strategy of the organization; contribute to strategic and tactical planning processes.
- Engage in research and beta testing of new systems and technologies to assess their fit within the CHRISTUS environment.
- Evaluate proposed system acquisitions, providing critical input on compatibility, costs, resource needs, and maintenance to enhance system performance and efficiency.
- Create and implement standards and procedures across multiple technology domains.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and certifications in various areas of information technology.
- Oversee infrastructure design, performance modeling, and capacity planning.
- Provide independent guidance and leadership on architecture design initiatives, facilitating complex system design and implementation.
- Develop technical standards in collaboration with various technical resources.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of management, including executive leadership.
- Participate in requirements gathering, engaging with technical and business teams to establish credibility through experience and leadership.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on documents created by others, conveying complex concepts appropriately based on the audience.
- Build strong, positive relationships with management at all levels.
- Utilize advanced business strategy understanding to assist in meeting customer goals while employing creative problem-solving methods.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Architecture, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred; four years of relevant experience is also acceptable.
- Extensive technical knowledge of Healthcare Hospital systems, including systems infrastructure, networks, databases, and information management best practices.
- Five years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture within healthcare hospital systems, possessing specialized skills in hardware/software systems, operations, and project management.
- Experience in SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall project methodologies.
- Strong skills in business process analysis, design, and service delivery related to EMR, ERP, and CRM systems.
- Understanding of security models and maintenance.
- Solid comprehension of Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse environments and database solution design.
- Experience with ETL techniques for data integration.
- Familiarity with Big Data querying tools, such as Hive, Impala, and Spark SQL.
