Remote ServiceNow Architect

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing robust software solutions, with a strong focus on service-oriented architecture and system design. Duties

• Design and implement scalable software architectures that align with business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality product is delivered.
• Oversee the integration of various systems, ensuring seamless communication between services.
• Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive information across platforms.
• Mentor junior developers in best practices for software development and architecture.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team.

Requirements

• Proven experience in service-oriented architecture, solution architecture, and systems engineering.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages including Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, PL/SQL, and T-SQL.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems such as Linux, Windows, UNIX, and their administration.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including familiarity with virtualisation technologies like VMware and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing techniques.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture principles.
• Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git and Jenkins.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues effectively.
