Senior Software Engineer - ServiceNow Development

Overview

Join our team as a Senior Software Engineer specializing in ServiceNow development! We are looking for an expert who excels in custom application development and scripting on the ServiceNow platform. This role will allow you to leverage modern engineering practices within an AWS ecosystem, driving innovative solutions that meet diverse business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable and maintainable solutions across various ServiceNow products and modules.
• Build and manage custom applications and scripted REST APIs within ServiceNow.
• Collaborate with Product Management and key stakeholders to diagnose business challenges and deliver user-centric solutions.
• Integrate ServiceNow seamlessly with other enterprise systems and tools to ensure optimal interoperability.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including grooming, refinement, and retrospectives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and peers, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Monitor and support deployed solutions, maintaining high performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Stay up-to-date with platform capabilities, industry trends, and best practices, sharing your insights with the engineering community.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field along with 6 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven track record as a Senior ServiceNow Developer with extensive platform knowledge.
• Strong skills in custom application development, scripted REST APIs, Business Rules, UI Policies, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow's Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and ITSM best practices is essential.
• Experience in managing code releases and deployments using scoped applications and automated pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
• Knowledge of AWS engineering practices and the ability to work collaboratively with cloud-native teams.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, or integration tasks is a significant advantage.
• Exceptional problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within a team.

Compensation

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $99,000.00 to $165,000.00 per year, with the possibility of additional compensation through incentive programs based on qualifications and performance.
