ServiceNow ITSM Developer
U.S. Citizenship required along with an active Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred)
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITSM Developer to support Federal customers as part of our Managed Services Platform Engineering team. This role focuses on delivering and enhancing ITSM capabilities—including Incident, Change, Request, Service Catalog, Portal development, CMDB, workflow automation, and process improvement.
You will design, develop, and implement ServiceNow ITSM solutions, translate business requirements into technical capabilities, and ensure all work aligns with federal security and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy ServiceNow ITSM solutions that meet federal requirements and best practices.
- Build and customize applications/modules including Incident, Change, Request, Service Catalog, CMDB, Knowledge, HR, and custom applications.
- Develop and enhance Service Portal pages, widgets, catalogs, and domain-separated configurations.
- Automate ITSM workflows and optimize end-to-end service delivery processes.
- Integrate ServiceNow with external systems and federal enterprise platforms.
- Conduct code reviews, create technical documentation, and ensure adherence to development standards.
- Stay current with ServiceNow releases and recommend platform improvements.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and collaborate with security teams to ensure FISMA/NIST/FedRAMP compliance.
- Act as a technical advisor to stakeholders including executives, platform owners, architects, and development teams.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of ServiceNow ITSM development experience.
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JSON/XML, business rules, script includes, workflows, client/server-side scripting, UI policies/actions, ACLs, and catalog development.
- Experience with Incident, Change, Request, Knowledge, Catalog, Variable Sets, Client Scripts, and CMDB.
- Experience developing custom applications and Service Portal widgets.
- Strong debugging ability and proficiency in producing clean, testable code.
- Ability to work directly with business leaders, gather requirements, and define roadmap-aligned solutions.
- Must meet FedRAMP/secure environment requirements (U.S. Citizen/National/Person and background screening).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Enterprise Architecture certifications (TOGAF, IT4IT) and/or cloud platform certifications.
- Experience in management consulting or customer-facing technical roles.
- Familiarity with enterprise workflow platforms.
