Senior ServiceNow Developer

Location: Columbia, MO (Onsite Role)

Our direct client is currently seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer for a permanent direct hire role, onsite here in Columbia, Missouri 65201.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Specialist with deep expertise in Customer Service Management (CSM), third-party integrations, and mobile application development. This role will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing ServiceNow solutions that enhance our customer service operations, streamline system interoperability, and enable seamless mobile experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Software Development
  • Write clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code.
  • Develop and support software solutions, including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements.
  • Support testing and deployment of new products and features.
  • Participate in code reviews.

ServiceNow Design & Development

  • Customize and configure the ServiceNow CSM module, including case management, SLAs, entitlements, and playbooks.
  • Create custom applications, workflows, and process automations using ServiceNow best practices.
  • Implement UI Policies, Business Rules, and custom scripts for platform logic and automation.

Mobile App Development

  • Develop and maintain ServiceNow mobile applications using Mobile Studio, Mobile Cards, Layouts, Navigation Menus, and Data Items.
  • Design mobile experiences for field teams, agents, and customers.
  • Ensure mobile apps are intuitive, responsive, and aligned with business workflows.
  • Use platform features such as Push Notifications, Offline Data Sync, QR/Barcode Scanning, and Geolocation.
  • Test and optimize mobile applications across devices.

Third-Party Integrations

  • Design and implement integrations with external systems via REST, SOAP, and Integration Hub.
  • Manage data exchange between ServiceNow and third-party systems.
  • Ensure integration performance, security, and data consistency.

Collaboration & Platform Support

  • Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure projects meet business objectives and compliance standards.
  • Work with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
  • Provide input during sprint planning and agile ceremonies.
  • Ensure compliance with coding standards and platform best practices.
  • Assist with platform upgrades, patching, and testing to ensure business continuity.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including:
  • Strong knowledge of Customer Service Management (CSM).
  • Experience with ServiceNow Mobile App development.
  • Proven success with third-party integrations (REST, SOAP, Integration Hub).

Technical Expertise

  • Expertise in Object-Oriented Design, Database Design, and XML Schema.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and mobile-specific design patterns.
  • Familiarity with platform features such as Flow Designer, UI Builder, Service Portal, and App Engine Studio.

Certifications

  • ServiceNow System Administrator
  • ServiceNow Application Developer
