Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced ServiceNow Lead Developer Engineer who can take ownership of end-to-end platform development, design scalable solutions, and provide technical leadership. This role requires strong hands-on development skills, deep understanding of the ServiceNow ecosystem, and the ability to work closely with business and IT teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities Platform Development and Customization
- Design, develop, and deploy applications and modules within the ServiceNow platform.
- Build and customize workflows, business rules, UI actions, client scripts, ACLs, integrations, and Service Catalog items.
- Enhance existing modules and build new solutions based on business needs.
Technical Leadership
- Lead a team of developers and guide them on best practices, coding standards, and solution architecture.
- Review code, ensure quality, and maintain governance across all ServiceNow implementations.
- Collaborate with architects and project managers to align technical solutions with overall project goals.
Integration and Automation
- Develop and maintain integrations with third-party systems using REST, SOAP, MID Server, or IntegrationHub.
- Build automation workflows to streamline processes across ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, SecOps, or other modules.
Module Expertise
- Configure and enhance core modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Asset, Discovery, Knowledge, Service Catalog, and Request Management.
- Implement features across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, or SecOps based on project requirements.
System Administration and Optimization
- Maintain platform stability, performance, and security.
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend long-term fixes.
- Ensure platform upgrades, patches, and releases are executed smoothly.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Interaction
- Work directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Support UAT, provide documentation, and assist with training and knowledge transfer.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- 12+ years of overall IT experience with at least 7 8 years working specifically on the ServiceNow platform.
- Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, scripting (JavaScript, Glide API), and configuration.
- Expertise in multiple ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Discovery, Service Catalog, HRSD, or SecOps.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, workflow automations, or event-based triggers.
- Solid understanding of platform architecture, data models, ACLs, and security.
- Strong experience guiding development teams, reviewing code, and implementing best practices.
- ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, CIS (any module), or related credentials are highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
