Overview

Our client, a leading Investment Bank, is seeking a mid senior level ServiceNow Developer (5 8 years) with strong hands-on technical development experience. This role is purely technical with no leadership, client-facing, or managerial responsibilities.

Candidates must have a strong background in JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting, integrations using MID Server/SFTP, Flow Designer, XML generation, and dashboard/widget development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance ServiceNow applications using JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, and UI Actions.
• Build and maintain integrations using MID Server, especially with SFTP script steps.
• Configure and troubleshoot REST/SOAP integrations.
• Build Flow Designer Flows/Subflows, including custom actions, scheduled jobs, and error-handling logic.
• Generate XML output from reports or scripted data sources.
• Manage file attachments and implement automated FTP/SFTP uploads via MID Server.
• Develop basic widgets for Service Portal, Workspace, and dashboards using AngularJS or UI Builder.
• Work with Import Sets, Transform Maps, CMDB relationships, and Update Sets to move code between instances.
• Support ITSM processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, and SLAs.

Required Skills & Experience

ServiceNow Core

• 5 8 years hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) + Certified Application Developer (CAD) (or actively preparing).
• Strong JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting (approx. 70% of the role).
• Experience with Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies/Actions.

Integration Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• MID Server setup and scripting
• SFTP integrations
• REST/SOAP message creation & troubleshooting
• Flow Designer/Subflows with custom actions
• Scheduled jobs

Automation & Workflow

• Ability to build advanced Flows (Lookups, script steps, error handling).
• XML generation and data handling.
• File object handling and automated file transfers via MID Server.

Frontend / UX

• Service Portal or Workspace widget customization (AngularJS or UI Builder).
• Dashboard and Performance Analytics widgets (simple reporting widgets sufficient).

Data & CMDB

• Import Sets, Transform Maps.
• Basic CMDB extensions and relationship modeling.
• Managing Update Sets and promoting code between dev/test/prod.

ITSM Basics

Working knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, SLA configurations
