DIS is currently seeking a ServiceNOW Admin, supporting the Department of Veteran's affairs Network Operations Center.

Responsibilities/Duties
- ServiceNow (SNOW) administration using the Application Platform
- Provide knowledge of ServiceNOW workflow questions related to testing of SNOW
- Test and manage scripts and workflow.
- Performs the component integration tests
- Understand the business needs and the needs to standardize processes, and build this into the design
- Assist with troubleshooting issues to improve efficiencies with ServiceNOW application
- Identify potential improvements to reduce the number of problems and enhance supportability.
- Document code consistently throughout the development process by listing a description of the program, special instructions, and any changes made in database tables on procedural, modular and database level.
- Establish methodologies (documentation, process and procedures) to be followed during project life cycle
- Foster teamwork and collaboration across a global development team, project teams, and business and systems partners
- Analyze, design, and coordinate the testing of software systems to form a baseline of functionality for regression testing.
- Responsible for testing all iterations of ServiceNOW and documenting improvements for ServiceNOW Devs to ensure production of a quality product
- Verify that software functions according to functional and user requirements and software design specifications
- Test in multiple environments, including SubProd1, DEV, TEST, PREPROD and Production
- Attend Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings for the ServiceNow ITSM tool sprint releases
- Detect software failures so that defects may be discovered and corrected.
- Attend calls with developers and stakeholders during the development process
- Develop and document application test plans based on software requirements and technical specifications.
- Identify potential improvements to reduce the number of problems and enhance supportability.
Required Skills
- Ability to analyze information system configurations and technical specifications against security control standards and identify deficiencies
- Experience with commercial software testing automation tools
- Knowledge of emerging security policy and governance
- Should be able to work under challenging environment and ready to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- Possession of excellent analytical skills
- Experience writing Ad Hoc SQL Queries a plus
Education/Certification Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience in ServiceNOW
- Service NOW Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Service NOW Certified Application Developer (CAD)
Clearance Requirements
- You do not need a current/active clearance to apply but must be able to pass a government security background investigation.
- The position is remote but must be able to report to the Martinsburg, WV office for meetings and demonstrations as required.
