508 Testing Specialist

Cadmus seeks a skilled 508 Testing Specialist to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manual testing and a strong understanding of Section 508 compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct manual testing to evaluate digital products for compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 guidelines.
• Use assistive technologies such as screen readers to test accessibility features.
• Identify, document, and track accessibility defects using tools like Jira or similar bug-tracking systems.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to provide actionable feedback and recommendations for resolving accessibility issues.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of manual testing experience, with at least 2 years focused on Section 508 and accessibility testing.
• Proficiency in using assistive technologies (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).
• Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 standards and Section 508 requirements.
