Staff Software Engineer Role

This team builds the tools that safely operate and manage databases in ServiceNow data centers.

• Design software for operating PostgreSQL databases in production that is simple to use and integrates at scale.
• Work with stakeholders to understand detailed requirements.
• Build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture, testing, and processes.

The team works within a very collaborative environment with distributed teams that empower you to be successful in your work.

• Expertise in managing and operating databases in production, particularly PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, or Oracle.
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations.
• Linux experience that includes a deep knowledge and understanding of its internals.
