Our client is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Architect to design, lead, and optimize complex ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules and enterprise environments. This role requires deep platform expertise, strong architectural leadership, and the ability to guide development teams while collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
This is a remote, contract-to-hire opportunity supporting large-scale ServiceNow initiatives with high visibility and long-term growth potential.

Responsibilities:
Solution Architecture & Design
- Lead end-to-end architecture for ServiceNow implementations across ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, CMDB, and related modules.
- Define architectural roadmaps, platform strategy, and scalable solution designs aligned with business needs.
- Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, CSDM alignment, and enterprise governance standards.
Platform Configuration & Customization
- Oversee configuration, customization, and development activities across multiple ServiceNow modules.
- Review and optimize workflows, data models, integrations, and platform performance.
Integrations & Interoperability
- Architect integrations using REST, SOAP, OAuth2, JWT, and MID Server.
- Ensure seamless interoperability with systems such as AWS, Azure, Salesforce, LDAP, Active Directory, and other enterprise platforms.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide technical leadership to developers and cross-functional teams.
- Guide coding standards, review update sets, and support SDLC best practices.
- Partner with stakeholders, project managers, and business leaders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
Governance, Security & Optimization
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, usability, and cost efficiency.
- Establish governance frameworks for platform integrity, security, and compliance.
- Lead platform upgrades, patching, and enhancements with minimal operational impact.
Documentation & Delivery
- Produce architecture diagrams, technical specifications, workflow documentation, and implementation guides.
- Support agile delivery processes and contribute to sprint planning and execution.
Qualifications/Must Haves:
- 3+ years in a lead or architect role.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required.
- Expertise across ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, CMDB, and CSDM alignment.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL (Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration Management)
- Experience leading large-scale ServiceNow implementations in enterprise environments.
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, and platform scripting.
- 5+ years hands-on experience designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions.
- Extensive experience with REST, SOAP, OAuth2, JWT, MID Server, and enterprise integrations.
- Deep understanding of update sets, version control, deployment processes, and platform governance.
- No specific degree required; equivalent hands‑on ServiceNow experience accepted.
Nice-to-Have:
- Healthcare industry experience.
- Automation frameworks and tooling.
- ServiceNow certifications: CAD, CTA.
- Cloud integration experience (AWS, Azure)
- DevOps / CI-CD pipeline experience for ServiceNow.
- ITOM depth: Discovery, Orchestration, Event Management.
- Blend of architecture + hands-on development leadership.
- Experience with Flow Designer, Virtual Agent, Predictive Intelligence.
- Background in large consulting firms (Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, Booz Allen)
