ServiceNow- ITOM & ITAM- Technical Consultant( Full-time at a Fortune 500 tech MNC)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer specializing in IT Operations Management (ITOM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) to design, develop, and implement advanced solutions across our ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in ServiceNow modules, integrations, CMDB, discovery, and automation, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.

Candidates will be experienced in leading ServiceNow engagements end to end, In addition, the successful candidate(s) will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

• Providing hands-on ServiceNow related design and development expertise, supporting a range ServiceNow based consulting initiatives.

• Configure, and develop solutions across ServiceNow ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Orchestration).

• Implement and enhance IT Asset Management (Hardware/Software Asset Management) capabilities.

• Maintain and optimize the CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, reconciliation, and CI relationships.

• Build and maintain custom applications, workflows, UI policies, business rules, and integrations.

• Develop REST/SOAP integrations, MID Server configurations, and automation workflows.

• Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and convert them into technical designs.

• Perform system upgrades, migrations, and platform maintenance.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to ServiceNow modules and integrations.

• Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and platform governance.

• Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and user training as needed.Qualifications

Skills and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong expertise in ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Orchestration).
• Experience with ITAM/IT Asset Management, including HAM/SAM processes.
• • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, MID Server.
• • Solid understanding of CMDB architecture, CI classes, and relationship mapping.
• • Experience building REST/SOAP APIs and third-party integrations.
• • Knowledge of ServiceNow best practices, update sets, and platform performance optimization.
• • ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS-ITOM, CIS-Discovery, ITAM) preferred.
• • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
