The Opportunity
Join our dynamic IT Service Management (ITSM) team as a ServiceNow Developer! We are looking for a talented individual who excels in scripting, coding, and configuring the ServiceNow platform to fulfill project deliverables and adapt to evolving business needs.
The Team
This position plays a crucial role in supporting and collaborating across multiple ITSM disciplines, including Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration Management, and IT Asset Management, which rely on various ServiceNow modules.
Your Impact:
- Develop, script, and code in the ServiceNow platform to achieve project objectives.
- Continuously adapt and refine code to meet changing business requirements.
- Manage core system configuration and respond to day-to-day user requests and incidents.
- Configure key ServiceNow modules such as Service Catalog, ITSM, Asset, Integration Hub, CMDB Discovery, and Service Mapping.
- Implement and maintain service graph connectors.
- Utilize Flow Designer to enhance the service catalog while transitioning from traditional workflows.
- Offer technical guidance on existing workflows to promote efficiency and streamlining.
- Oversee the ServiceNow upgrade cycle, including testing using the Automated Test Framework.
- Keep current with ServiceNow products, including version upgrades and new features.
- Develop solutions for a variety of moderately complex challenges.
- Contribute towards achieving organizational projects and goals.
- Ensure solutions documentation is accurate and up to date; develop test plans and keep standard operating procedures updated.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 5+ years of experience configuring and troubleshooting technical ServiceNow solutions.
- 1+ years of JavaScript experience, particularly with the ServiceNow platform.
- 1+ years of experience with web service protocols such as SOAP, REST, JSON, or Kafka.
Ideal Qualifications
- Proven track record in configuring and managing various ServiceNow modules.
- Strong scripting and coding capabilities within the ServiceNow platform.
- Proven ability to adapt code in line with evolving business needs.
- Knowledge of Flow Designer and the Automated Test Framework; strong understanding of ITAM, ITSM, and CMDB solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an emphasis on efficiency and process improvement.
- Capacity to provide technical insights to team members and stakeholders.
- Experience managing system upgrades and maintaining knowledge of ServiceNow enhancements.
- ServiceNow Application Developer Certification is a plus.
