[Remote] Servicenow Developer -CMDB (USC / GC Only)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Raas Infotek is seeking a Servicenow Developer -CMDB to manage and enhance the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ensure the accuracy of IT asset information. The role involves collaborating with various teams to design, implement, and maintain CMDB processes while driving improvements in data integrity and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• CMDB Engineer is responsible for the lifecycle of IT assets (Acquisition through End of Life) as well as building and maintain Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB)
• Managing and enhancing the CMDB (Configuration Management Database) using Service Graph Connectors (SGCs) to integrate data from various sources, roles include CMDB Analyst, Discovery Engineer, and Developer, requiring skills in data modeling, integrations, scripting, and CSDM for data accuracy and automated service delivery
• Develops custom solutions, integrations, and automation, often leveraging SGCs to streamline processes
• CMDB & CSDM: Deep understanding of data modeling, configuration items (CIs), and the Common Service Data Model
• The role is responsible to ensure complete and accurate IT Hardware Asset information, their relationship to IT Services in the CMDB
• Drives Key Performance Indicators and aligns them with strategic technology goals
• Identifying opportunities and engaging other support organizations to create or improve CMDB processes and tools to meet identified needs
• Improve CI data integrity regarding classes, naming conventions, attributes, data sources, and relationships
• Conduct configuration audits and reconciliation
• Maintains CIs to ensure CMDB accuracy and completeness
• Drives visibility on unauthorized CI changes or alterations to environment
• Works with other ITSM processes to understand new requirements and identify how Configuration management can support
• Support and administer the tool for configuration and asset management, ServiceNow Discovery, and additional applications or modules as assigned
• Perform SDLC activities required to enhance the ServiceNow platform
• Oversees the development of strategy, process alignment, performance measurement, training, and communications
• Validating and cleansing the data from authoritative sources before integrating it into CMDB
• Implementing error handling mechanisms to capture and handle any data integration errors or failures
