Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Consultant who can contribute technical expertise while also mentoring and upskilling freshers/junior team members on the ServiceNow platform. The role combines hands-on ServiceNow configuration and development work with structured guidance for junior colleagues, enabling internal adoption and capability building within our team.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in ServiceNow implementation/configuration projects, focusing on ITSM, CMDB/ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and App Engine.
Design and build workflows, catalog items, business rules, client scripts, and integrations (REST/SOAP, Integration Hub).
Guide junior team members through hands-on practice on ServiceNow Personal Developer Instances (PDI).
Provide knowledge-sharing sessions, code walkthroughs, and best practice discussions.
Assign small exercises/projects to juniors and provide constructive feedback.
Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices in configuration, scripting, and customization.
Support internal adoption of ServiceNow by aligning training with organizational use cases.
Stay updated with latest ServiceNow releases and features and cascade knowledge to the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Certifications:
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required.
Preferably Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITSM, HRSD, or CSM.
Experience:
3–5+ years hands-on ServiceNow experience in administration, configuration, or development.
Strong knowledge of ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge).
Exposure to CMDB/ITOM basics, HRSD, CSM, and App Engine Studio.
Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes.
Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and Integration Hub.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to mentor juniors and simplify complex concepts.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Nice to Have
Prior experience onboarding or mentoring junior team members.
Exposure to additional ServiceNow modules like SecOps, GRC, ITAM.
Knowledge of Agile delivery and DevOps practices.
Engagement Type
Full-time role (with project delivery + mentoring responsibilities).
Initial focus on 2-month structured upskilling program for freshers/juniors, followed by ongoing delivery responsibilities.
