The ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD) Architect plays a critical role in designing, governing, and scaling our global HR service delivery ecosystem. This role is responsible for the end-to-end architecture, configuration standards, and strategic evolution of ServiceNow HRSD, ensuring alignment with global HR processes, data governance, and enterprise technology standards.
The HRSD Architect partners closely with People & Culture (HR Tech Team) and IT to deliver consistent, scalable, and compliant HR service experience across geographies. A strong understanding of global HR operations, ServiceNow architecture, integrations, and data privacy requirements are essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
HRSD Architecture & Technical Ownership
· Serve as the global technical architect and design authority for ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD).
· Define and maintain HRSD architectural standards, configuration patterns, and design principles across the platform.
· Support the overall HRSD solution design, including case management, employee lifecycle events, workflows, portals, knowledge, and automation.
· Ensure HRSD solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise ServiceNow and IT architecture standards.
Solution Design & Engineering Oversight
· Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical designs aligned with ServiceNow best practices.
· Produce and maintain technical design documentation, including architecture diagrams, data models, and integration flows.
· Review and approve development work to ensure adherence to architecture standards, performance expectations, and security requirements.
· Guide developers on scripted vs. no-code/low-code decisions, ensuring maintainability and upgrade safety.
Integrations & Data Architecture
· Architect and govern integrations between HRSD and enterprise systems, including HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP, SuccessFactors), identity systems (e.g., Active Directory), and downstream applications.
· Define integration patterns using IntegrationHub, APIs, MID Servers, and event-driven approaches.
· Ensure data consistency, ownership clarity, and alignment with enterprise data architecture and governance models.
· Partner with analytics teams to enable reporting and service performance metrics without compromising platform performance.
Security, Privacy & Risk Management
· Design and enforce role-based access controls, data segregation, and security policies for sensitive HR data (PII).
· Ensure HRSD configurations comply with GDPR and global data protection requirements.
· Identify and mitigate technical debt, performance risks, and security vulnerabilities.
· Support audits and risk assessments related to HR systems and employee data.
Delivery & Stakeholder Partnership
· Work closely with IT architecture, ServiceNow platform teams, and system integrators to guide build, test, and deployment activities.
· Provide architectural oversight during global rollouts, country onboarding, and major platform releases.
· Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues within HRSD.
· Contribute to roadmap planning by evaluating new ServiceNow capabilities and platform upgrades.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
· 3+ years of experience working with ServiceNow, with deep hands-on expertise in HR Service Delivery (HRSD).
· Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Platform Architect, or Lead Designer in ServiceNow HRSD implementations.
· Strong technical knowledge of: ServiceNow data model and CMDB concepts. Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, and UI Policies.
· Experience designing and governing integrations between HRSD and HRIS, identity, and enterprise systems. IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server architecture
· Strong knowledge of data privacy, security, and access controls related to HR data and PII.
· Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, scalable technical designs.
