Overview
GovCIO is actively seeking a talented ServiceNow Architect to fulfill the essential needs of our clients. This position is fully remote, granting you the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural vision and strategic roadmap for the ServiceNow platform, encompassing ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, SecOps, CMDB, and other modules.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions that comply with enterprise standards.
- Act as the primary technical liaison for ServiceNow architecture, integrations, and data modeling strategies.
- Establish and enforce governance, development standards, and best practices for the platform.
- Oversee the configuration, customization, and deployment of ServiceNow applications.
- Review and validate solutions provided by internal teams and vendors to ensure they adhere to architectural guidelines.
- Enhance CMDB maturity, drive discovery architecture, improve service mapping, and initiate data quality projects.
- Design and guide integrations using MID Servers, APIs, web services, and data exchange frameworks.
- Conduct performance reviews of the platform to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
- Offer technical leadership, mentorship, and support to ServiceNow developers and administrators.
- Stay informed on ServiceNow releases, new capabilities, and best practices emerging within the platform.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree along with 12+ years of relevant experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of experience.
Required Skills and Experience
- 8 years of ServiceNow experience, with at least 3 years in an architectural or lead design role.
- Extensive expertise in ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM (Discovery/Service Mapping), CMDB, HRSD, and SecOps.
- Deep understanding of ServiceNow data architecture, workflow engines, scripting (JavaScript/Glide), and integration frameworks.
- Experience with platform governance, solution validation, and large-scale enterprise implementation.
- Proven track record of architecting integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, or ETL tools.
- Exceptional documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Clearance Required: Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a HUD Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Certified Master Architect (CMA), or in the process of obtaining certification.
- ServiceNow certifications like CIS-ITSM, CIS-ITOM, CAD, or CSA.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with federal or regulated environments (FISMA, FedRAMP, etc.) is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in optimizing performance and implementing enterprise-level workflows.

Posted Salary Range
The expected salary range for this position at the start of employment is USD $120,000.00 - USD $165,000.00 per year, though base pay may vary based on factors such as location, knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
