This role leads design, development, and administration of ServiceNow applications—especially SecOps Vulnerability Response (VR)—to strengthen enterprise vulnerability management, automate remediation workflows, and integrate with security and IT operations tools.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ServiceNow Vulnerability Response and related SecOps modules. Design, configure, and enhance VR applications; support platform upgrades and module releases. Integrate VR with external scanners (e.g., Tenable) and security/CMDB data sources via IntegrationHub, MID Servers, REST/SOAP. Automate ingestion, normalization, assignment, grouping, prioritization, and remediation workflows using Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Scheduled Jobs. Build and maintain catalog items, request workflows, and fulfillment automation across ITSM/ITOM. Contribute to platform enhancements (CMDB, Incident, Problem, Change, custom apps) and ensure governance/best practices. Conduct functional and nonfunctional testing; manage defects and support end user inquiries. Author technical documentation, prototype plans, and release notes; drive secure development and interoperability with broader IT infrastructure. Lead small initiatives and cross functional efforts; provide architectural guidance and remove obstacles to delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent) and 8+ years of related experience; OR Master’s degree plus 6 years. U.S. citizenship required due to nature of work. 3–5+ years of hands?on ServiceNow development, including SecOps/VR. Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, and platform automation. Solid understanding of ITSM processes and core ServiceNow data structures. Experience with IntegrationHub, MID Servers, REST/SOAP integrations; CMDB enrichment. Familiarity with Agile delivery and SDLC best practices. Strong analytical skills, solution design experience, and ability to communicate with business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

Integrations with third?party vulnerability scanners (e.g., Tenable, Qualys) and SIEM/SOAR tools. Experience building catalog items, complex approval chains, and fulfillment automation. Data queries, transformation, reporting, and dashboarding for risk and remediation metrics. Platform administration, configuration management, and release management support. Background across ITSM, ITOM, SecOps; knowledge of secure coding practices.
