JOB DESCRIPTION:

Mandatory Certifications:

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer - CAD
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator CSA
  • 2 - ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Certification - (ITSM/Discovery/Service Mapping/CSM/HRSD/HAM/SAM Pro/SecOps/IRM) + Advanced domain certs (e.g., ITOM/HRSD Pro)

Job Summary

  • The Senior Technical Consultant ServiceNow is a hands on technical leader responsible for designing, building, and delivering scalable, secure, and high quality ServiceNow solutions across enterprise environments. This role leads technical design and development activities, mentors junior consultants, and partners closely with architects, functional consultants, and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust platform solutions.
  • With deep expertise in ServiceNow architecture, scripting, integrations, and best practices, the Senior Technical Consultant ensures solution integrity across the full delivery lifecycle-from design and development through deployment and post go live optimization. The role plays a critical part in technical governance, performance optimization, and continuous platform improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead ServiceNow various modules build, review designs, and enforce coding/guardrail compliance.
  • Design complex integrations (IntegrationHub, custom REST), data migrations, and orchestration flows.
  • Define scalable and maintainable technical architectures aligned with ServiceNow best practices
  • Review and validate technical designs, code, and configurations produced by the team
  • Provide technical guidance and decision making support during complex delivery scenarios
  • Guide teammates on Glide APIs, Script Includes, and security (ACL, scoped apps).
  • Own non-functional requirements: performance, logging/telemetry, and resilience.
  • Plan upgrades and patching; drive defect triage and root-cause analysis.
  • Design and develop advanced ServiceNow solutions using:
  • Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs
  • Workflows and Flow Designer
  • Service Portal / UI Builder components
  • Oversee data migration and transformation using Import Sets and Transform Maps

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities and release cadence.
  • Hands-on with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and scripting (Glide/JavaScript) as relevant to the role.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum with solid documentation and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and problem solving.
  • Proficiency with REST/SOAP integrations, MID Server, and common auth (OAuth/SAML).
  • Knowledge of ATF, update sets, and instance upgrade best practices.

Preferred/Good To Have

  • ITIL v4 (Foundation)
  • ServiceNow Micro-certifications or Delivery/Presales Accreditations
  • Cloud/EA certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure, TOGAF, IT4IT) based on role.
