Job Description

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

The CMDB Architect will design, implement, and govern the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ensure high data integrity and alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM). You will be the technical authority on how Configuration Items (CIs) are discovered, mapped, and maintained, serving as a bridge between IT operations and strategic business goals.

Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and Discovery patterns

Roles & Responsibilities

Architectural Strategy: Define the end-to-end CMDB architecture and roadmap, ensuring scalability and performance across the global enterprise. CSDM Leadership: Lead the implementation of the CSDM 4.0/5.0 framework to align technical assets with business services and digital products.

Discovery & Service Mapping: Design and oversee ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping

(Top-down & Tag-based) to automate CI relationship tracking. Data Governance: Establish and enforce CMDB governance policies, including Identification and Reconciliation Rules (IRE), CI lifecycles, and data attestation. Integrations: Design integration patterns for external data sources using Service Graph Connectors and IntegrationHub.

Health & Quality: Develop and manage CMDB Health Dashboards (Completeness, Compliance, Correctness) and implement automated remediation workflows. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Process Owners (Incident, Change, Asset, SecOps) to ensure the CMDB meets their functional data requirements.

Salary Range: $125,000-$135,000 a year
