The ServiceNow Platform Specialist plays a crucial role in optimizing and sustaining the performance of the ServiceNow platform to meet organizational needs. Key responsibilities include managing system upgrades, user provisioning, reporting, problem resolution, access controls, and user permissions.

  • Provide Tier 1 support for ServiceNow Platform Incidents, actively identifying and troubleshooting issues.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to resolve system problems and enhance user experience.
  • Act as a backup for user requests regarding system needs, upgrades, or handle complex requests independently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently, with minimal supervision.
  • Resolve integration challenges, including system/service accounts, APIs, and user management certificates.
  • Create and manage dashboards and reports to provide insights into platform usage, license allocations, and performance metrics.
  • Support data-driven decision-making processes through actionable insights and analytics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 4-6 years of experience in information technology, systems administration, or a related IT field.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required; additional relevant certifications are a plus.

Other Job Specific Skills

  • Extensive experience in reviewing various system log files.
  • Experience with HIWAVE management.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow administration and development.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) is preferred.

Compensation Ranges

Compensation for this position is based on various factors, including location, skill set, education level, certifications, client requirements, contract affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The displayed compensation for this role serves as a general guideline and is tailored to individual qualifications.
