Job Title: Services Now Developer Job Location: Tallahassee, FL (on-site) Job Duration: Contract through June + extension Job Tasks and Activities:
- Architect, develop, and configure ServiceNow solutions to meet the agency's requirements.
- Replicate existing ITSM solution core functionality and custom automations, such as Electronic Network Access Form.
- Develop, configure, and implement internal and external customer portal, online forms, and Service Catalog.
- Establish connectivity to Active Directory, Okta, Jira, and other internal or external systems as needed.
- Work under the direction of the ITSM development staff to develop and configure Service Now to align with current IT processes. Perform knowledge transfer with agency staff.
- Work under the direction of the Agency's designated project manager or the Lead Applications Development Supervisor. Participate in and lead activities as directed by the Agency.
- Resolve day-to-day ServiceNow technology and business unit needs, focusing on configuration, development, and administration.
- Understand technical problems and solutions for the agency's ServiceNow platform. Suggest plans and implement solutions to integrate new and existing processes.
- Develop, test, and implement ServiceNow functionality to meet business needs.
- Participate in continuous review and update to ensure processes meet changing business unit conditions.
- Use subject matter expertise, industry methodologies, best practices, and automated tools to analyze and make recommendations on behalf of the agency for required changes to complex business processes to align with proposed solutions.
- Communicate status updates on ServiceNow development efforts as directed.
- Develop and execute software test plans as directed.
- Comply with Division of IT Information Systems Development Methodology (ISDM) processes and standards. Work products and documentation will be in the Agency ISDM template format and will comply with the Florida Department of Management Services' Florida Digital Service, Chapter 60GG-1, Florida Administrative Code.
- Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, support, and enhance software applications in conformance with the adopted methodologies, standards, and practices.
- Provide software development programming estimates as directed
Required Experience:
- Extensive knowledge and experience of ServiceNow architecture.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of ServiceNow core functionality.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of ServiceNow ITSM functionality.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of ServiceNow SPM functionality.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of ServiceNow Workflow Data Fabric -Integration Hub.
- Ability to work effectively with users and a project team, to identify and document requirements for the maintenance, enhancement, modernization, remediation, or development of computer application systems, including technical overviews and context diagrams.
- Expert skill in developing, testing, and implementing ServiceNow functionality to meet business needs.
- Knowledge and experience of ServiceNow ITOM functionality.
- Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and prioritize work assignments for him/herself or lower-level analysts.
- Experience working on complex technological solutions.
Preferred Experience:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
- Knowledge of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundations and processes
- Ability to understand and communicate highly technical and business requirements or concepts.
