ServiceNow ITAM Consultant/Architect

Position - ServiceNow ITAM Consultant/Architect Contract Rate– $47/hr on W2 & $60/hr on C2C Location – Cary, North Carolina ( Hybrid ).

Resources will be working on multiple customer projects. Based on customer requirement they may have to go to office.

The ServiceNow ITAM Consultant/Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing IT Asset Management (ITAM) solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The role focuses on Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) across the full asset lifecycle—from procurement to retirement—enabling cost optimization, compliance, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement ServiceNow ITAM solutions, including: Hardware Asset Management (HAM)

Software Asset Management (SAM / SAM Pro)

Configure and manage end-to-end asset lifecycle processes (request, procure, deploy, maintain, retire)

Establish and maintain accurate asset inventories and data integrity across hardware and software repositories

Enable license compliance, normalization, reconciliation, and optimization for software assets

Integrate ITAM with CMDB, Discovery, Procurement, SCCM, JAMF, Intune, Flexera, and other third-party tools

Define and enforce asset governance, policies, and controls in collaboration with IT, Finance, and Procurement teams

Build dashboards and reports for asset utilization, compliance, cost savings, and audit readiness

Support audits, using accurate asset and license data

Participate in pre-sales, solution workshops, and architectural discussions when required

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITAM (HAM & SAM)

Solid understanding of: IT asset lifecycle management

Software license models and compliance

Hardware inventory and logistics processes

Experience with CMDB, Discovery, and data reconciliation

Proficiency in ServiceNow configuration and scripting (Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, Reporting)

Strong stakeholder management skills with IT, Procurement, Finance, and Audit teams

Certifications (Preferred)

• ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator) - Must
• CIS – Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM)
• CIS – Hardware Asset Management (CIS-HAM)
• ITIL Foundation (preferred)
• CTA / CMA for senior architect roles
