Title : ServiceNow ITSM Developer

Location : San Francisco, CA/ Cincinnati, OH/ Dallas, TX (Onsite)

Duration : 12+ Months

Rate : 50 - 55$/hr on W2

Relevant Experience (in Yrs.) : 8+

Job Description:

  • Experience as a ServiceNow ITSM Developer and Implementing Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management, or Service Catalog, Mobile App, Virtual Agent, integrations
  • Ability to configure ServiceNow ITSM applications in alignment with approved design plans
  • Knowledge of unit testing, system integration testing, performance testing, user acceptance testing, or any client-specific testing
  • Experience with developing ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, Jelly, one or more Web Services, XML, HTML and CSS
  • Familiarity with SQL query creation and LDAP Query for connecting to and pulling data from Oracle, MySQL databases and AD respectively
  • Worked with and understands the value in creating repeatable processes to design development, test, staging and production environments that are reliable with high availability
  • Must be ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator
  • Should possess knowledge in Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Basic knowledge with ITIL/industry standards
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Behavioral competency
  • Effective communication skills with both non-technical and technical audiences (verbal and written)
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills to work with the project team members collaboratevily
  • Participate and provide feedback during planning meetings (i.e., pre-iteration, and retrospectives)

Good to Have:

  • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist certification
  • ITIL V3/V4 foundation certification

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Including experience with the Service Catalog module and creating custom applications.
  • Experience creating request forms, developing integration with external systems, implementing security (including Access Control Lists), and enhancing the user interface to provide a custom look and feel.
  • Ability to implement moderate to complex custom widgets and backend scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, modules, and functionalities.
  • Hands-on experience in configuring Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Scripts, UI Actions, UI ages, Script Includes, Access Control Lists, complex workflows and solution migration to higher environment.
  • Experience in developing ServiceNow integrations using APIs, web services, and data imports/exports.
  • Experience in Workflows, SLAs, Import Sets and Update Sets.
  • Experience in creation of Record Producers and Catalogue Items using Variables, Variable Sets.
  • Working knowledge to schedule jobs, events, and triggers to manage business needs.
  • Experience in creating transform maps and Import sets for uploading the bulk data through sheets.
  • Solid understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) processes.
  • Must have experience in Service Now Custom Development.
  • Sound knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals – data structures, algorithms, operating system concepts
  • Excellent analytical skills, methodical problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn new skills and technologies as needed.
  • Ability to meet objectives, goals, and deadlines with minimal supervision.

  • ServiceNow certifications, such as Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified System Administrator (CSA), are preferred.
