Job Title: ServiceNow Platform Developer (AI / Now Assist Focus) Santa Clara, CA - Onsite

12+ Months Contract

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Platform Developer with strong expertise in ServiceNow development, scripting, integrations, and AI-driven automation. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of scalable ServiceNow solutions while integrating AI capabilities such as Now Assist and intelligent automation into enterprise workflows.

This role requires a strong background in ServiceNow development frameworks, JavaScript-based scripting, API integrations, and modern DevOps practices. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust architectures and deliver scalable enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

ServiceNow Development

Design and develop scalable ServiceNow applications and platform solutions.

Build and customize ServiceNow modules including workflows, service catalog, integrations, and automation pipelines.

Develop scripts using JavaScript (ES6+) and ServiceNow scripting APIs including Business Rules, Script Includes, and Client Scripts.

Implement ServiceNow IntegrationHub and REST/SOAP integrations with enterprise platforms.

AI & Intelligent Automation

Implement AI-powered automation using ServiceNow Now Assist and AI tools.

Integrate AI/ML services (OpenAI, Azure Cognitive Services, TensorFlow) into enterprise workflows.

Develop AI-driven chatbots and intelligent workflows within the ServiceNow platform.

Architecture & System Integration

Design scalable architectures using microservices, domain-driven design, and event-driven architecture.

Lead integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems via APIs and middleware.

Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and governance standards.

DevOps & Delivery

Implement DevOps best practices including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployments.

Work with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code.

Perform code reviews and mentor development teams to ensure coding standards and best practices.

Collaboration & Leadership

Work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of software development experience with strong ServiceNow development expertise.

Proven experience with ServiceNow development (Workflows, Catalogs, IntegrationHub, scripting APIs).

Strong JavaScript (ES6+) and ServiceNow scripting framework experience.

Hands-on experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST/SOAP APIs).

Solid knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.

Experience implementing AI/ML services or intelligent automation.

Strong understanding of microservices architecture and modern application design patterns.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

ServiceNow certifications such as

CSA (Certified System Administrator)

CAD (Certified Application Developer)

CIS-ITSM

Experience with React.js or Node.js development.

Experience implementing AI-driven workflows or enterprise chatbots.

Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development methodologies.
