Position Overview Our client is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Security Administrator with strong expertise in ServiceNow platform administration and SAP BTP Identity Authentication Service (IAS). This individual will play a critical role supporting secure, multi-instance ServiceNow environments while owning identity and access management (IAM) integrations across enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in high-security environments, strong knowledge of RBAC, SSO, and identity federation, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
Key Responsibilities ServiceNow Administration
- Administer and maintain ServiceNow instances (cloud and on-prem)
- Manage Update Sets, migrations, clones, and environment synchronization
- Oversee user, group, and role administration aligned with security policies
- Support secure API onboarding (user setup, roles, credential management)
- Monitor platform performance, stability, and compliance
- Maintain CMDB data integrity (as applicable)
- Provide Level 2/3 support for platform and access-related issues
- Document configurations, processes, and administrative procedures
- Partner with developers and architects to resolve complex issues
- Support audits, governance, and compliance initiatives Identity & Access Management (Primary Focus)
- Own integration between ServiceNow and SAP BTP IAS/IPS
- Design and maintain user provisioning & deprovisioning workflows
- Administer full user lifecycle management (onboarding → offboarding)
- Implement and enforce RBAC and least-privilege access models
- Configure SSO and identity federation (SAML, OAuth, OIDC)
- Lead access reviews, certifications, and audit support activities
- Identify and remediate access risks and security vulnerabilities
- Maintain security documentation, policies, and compliance evidence
- Support IAM-related incident response and remediation efforts
- Act as SME for ServiceNow security and identity integrations Required Qualifications ServiceNow
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (Required)
- 3–7+ years of ServiceNow administration (multi-instance environments)
- Experience with self-hosted and cloud ServiceNow instances
- Strong knowledge of:
- Update Sets & configuration migration
- User/group/role security administration
- Platform governance and ITIL processes
- Experience with integrations, MID servers, and secure connectivity Identity & Security
- Hands-on experience with SAP BTP IAS and IPS
- 3+ years in IAM, including:
- Identity federation & SSO
- Authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC)
- Strong understanding of:
- RBAC & least privilege principles
- User lifecycle management
- Segregation of Duties (SoD)
- Experience working in high-security / regulated environments
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP, IL-level environments) Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Security+ or equivalent certification
- SAP BTP Certification
- ServiceNow advanced certifications (Security Operations, etc.)
- Experience with CMDB administration Work Experience
- 3–7+ years as a ServiceNow Administrator
- 3+ years working with BTP IAS/IPS or similar IAM platforms
- Experience in secure enterprise or federal environments
- Proven success supporting:
- Multi-instance environments
- IAM integrations
- Security audits and compliance initiatives
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Additional Details
