The Job:
As the ServiceNow Architect, you'll be part of our HRIS team working as a remote employee. The ServiceNow HRSD Architect leads the architecture, design, and delivery of ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD) solutions for enterprise clients. This role acts as the technical authority for HRSD modules-including Case & Knowledge Management, Employee Center/Portal, Lifecycle Events, and more-ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that align with business requirements and ServiceNow best practices. The architect collaborates closely with stakeholders, mentors technical teams, and oversees integrations with Workday. As a key member of our HRIS team, you will:
- Solution Architecture & Design
- Lead end-to-end architecture and implementation of ServiceNow HRSD solutions (Employee Center/Portal, Lifecycle Events).
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and architecture documents.
- Design and oversee integrations with Workday (global platform)
- Ensure solutions align with ServiceNow platform best practices, security standards, and performance optimization.
- Understand the fundamentals of GenAI and Agentic AI within ServiceNow's HR platform: This includes grasping the current capabilities of Now Assist and the impact of AI on HR processes
- Understand interactions between HRSD and ITSM processes
- Client Engagement & Advisory
- Facilitate discovery and design workshops with stakeholders, clarifying requirements and shaping platform roadmaps.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, identifying risks, recommending optimizations, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Technical Leadership
- Act as the technical go-to for the team, guiding consultants and developers during delivery.
- Provide architectural governance, code reviews, solution validation, and Go-Live readiness.
- Mentor and support internal capability building for technical teams.
- Quality Assurance & Documentation
- Conduct architecture reviews, impact assessments, and feasibility analysis for new features and enhancements.
- Own the creation of technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and data models.
- Ensure technical quality and adherence to platform standards.
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with ServiceNow HRSD features and industry trends.
- Participate in roadmap planning, platform upgrades, and release management.

- Experience
- 7+ years architecting ServiceNow solutions, including 3+ years of HRSD design and implementation
- 5+ years building and optimizing Employee Center/Portal experiences, with attention to UI/UX.
- Proven experience leading complex, enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations.
- Technical Skills
- Deep hands-on experience with ServiceNow HRSD modules: Case & Knowledge Management, Employee Service Center, HR workflows, Lifecycle Events, Service Portal.
- Hands-on experience and practical application of AI in HRSD.
- Proficiency in configuring ServiceNow HRSD modules and workflows for automating HR processes and ensuring they are integrated with ITSM processes
- Solid understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities
- Strong understanding of HR processes, employee lifecycle, and service management frameworks.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with Workday
- Experience with Employee Center Pro, UI Builder, Workspace, or custom portal components is a plus.
- Familiarity with platform architecture.
- Certifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (HRSD, SPM, CSM, FSM, or other)

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is 115,800.00 - 231,600.00 USD Annual. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
