Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a ServiceNow Tester based in Dallas, TX. The role involves developing and executing test cases, identifying and reporting software issues, and ensuring optimal performance of the ServiceNow platform. Day-to-day tasks include conducting functional and regression testing, collaborating with engineers and developers to address defects, and maintaining detailed documentation of test results and processes. Candidates will be expected to communicate quality assurance needs effectively and support the development team in enhancing platform functionalities.

Qualifications

• Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies, including familiarity with test automation tools.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow platform functionality testing, including modules like Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
• Ability to document test cases, test plans, and test scripts with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and resolve defects effectively.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in collaborative development environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in tools like JIRA, Selenium, or similar is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field strongly preferred or equivalent professional experience.

Key Skills:

• Looking for 6+ years of hands-on experience in QA testing, with at least 2+ years focused on ServiceNow ITOM modules.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, and Event Management.
• Experience testing integrations between ServiceNow and IT infrastructure monitoring tools.
• Proficiency with ServiceNow ATF, JIRA, and test management tools.
• Solid understanding of ITIL processes and CMDB data models.
• Ability to write SQL queries and validate backend data.
• Familiarity with web services testing (REST/SOAP APIs).
