Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer with strong ServiceNow expertise to support documentation needs for a leading energy client in Houston. The role requires close collaboration with product owners, platform architects, developers, and process SMEs to create clear, concise, and accurate technical content aligned to enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high‐quality technical documentation for ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and custom applications.
• Create user guides, release notes, configuration documentation, workflow maps, and knowledge-base articles.
• Partner with ServiceNow platform teams to translate complex technical concepts into simple, consumable content for technical and business audiences.
• Maintain version control and documentation repositories (Confluence, SharePoint, or similar).
• Ensure all documentation aligns with organizational standards, security requirements, and compliance expectations.
• Conduct interviews, requirement walkthroughs, and system demos with SMEs to validate accuracy and completeness.
• Support continuous improvement of documentation processes and templates.

Required Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience as a Technical Writer, with at least 2 years focused on ServiceNow documentation.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, modules, workflows, and terminology.
• Demonstrated ability to write structured, concise, and user‐centric technical content.
• Proficiency with documentation tools such as Confluence, Jira, ServiceNow KB, SharePoint, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, interviewing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work onsite 3 days per week in the Houston Campus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the energy or industrial sector.
• Knowledge of ITIL frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery environments.
