Lead ServiceNow Software Engineer – Cybersecurity (Vulnerability Response)
Pay- $85 -$90/Jr
Duration- 12 Months
Hybrid- 3 Days per week
Locations-Resource will need to come to a core location.- Core Locations, Charlotte, NC; McClean, VA; Minneapolis, MN; San Antonio, TX; Chandler, AZ
Job Summary:
The Lead ServiceNow Software Engineer will drive the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) solutions within a cybersecurity environment. This role leads enterprise initiatives focused on vulnerability management, platform engineering, and secure application development while ensuring scalable, compliant, and high-performing solutions. The position requires strong technical leadership, hands-on development, and cross-functional collaboration in a complex enterprise setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development and implementation of ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) solutions
- Design, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications using scripting and low-code capabilities
- Own full software lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, and production support (L3)
- Drive enterprise-wide initiatives and provide technical leadership and mentorship
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant with enterprise standards and risk requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform, coding, and integration issues
- Manage integrations with external systems via APIs (REST/SOAP)
- Collaborate with architecture, governance, and engineering teams to align on best practices
- Support Agile delivery using tools like Jira and Confluence
- Develop workflows and automation to enhance business processes and vulnerability remediation
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise environments
- 5+ years of ServiceNow development, configuration, or administration
- Strong experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and SQL
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Proven ability to lead complex initiatives and work in a matrixed environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) module
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or Implementation Specialist (VR)
- Experience with ServiceNow tools (Service Portal, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, ATF)
- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (Angular or React)
- Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and API development
- Familiarity with security tools such as Qualys, Wiz, or NVD
- Agile delivery experience
Work Environment:
- Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week
