Job Role: ServiceNow Developer

Experience: 7 Years

Location: PAN India (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Design & Development:

o Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable ServiceNow solutions, focusing on CSM and Service Portal functionalities

  • Service Portal Development

o Design, configure, and customize ServiceNow Service Portals aligned with business requirements.

o Develop reusable UI components and ensure mobile‑friendly, responsive user experiences.

  • Widget Architecture & Lifecycle

o Build, extend, and maintain ServiceNow Service Portal Widgets using AngularJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and server‑side scripts.

o Manage full widget lifecycle including initialization, data provisioning, event handling, and versioning.

  • Catalog Integration in Portal

o Implement and customize Service Catalog items, order guides, and record producers for seamless portal consumption.

o Integrate workflows, client scripts, and UI policies to enhance catalog usability within the portal.

  • Security & ACLs in Portal

o Configure and troubleshoot Access Control Lists (ACLs), roles, and client-side/server-side security within the Service Portal.

o Ensure secure access to widgets, data sources, and catalog items following best practices.

  • Performance Optimization

o Optimize portal performance through efficient scripting, data caching, minimized server calls, and UI best practices.

o Conduct performance assessments and implement corrective actions to enhance load times and responsiveness.

  • Theming, Branding & Accessibility

o Create and maintain portal themes, branding styles, and custom layouts aligned with UX/UI guidelines.

o Ensure portals meet accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA) for inclusive user experiences.

  • Search & Knowledge Integration

o Configure and enhance ServiceNow search features including Zing search, Knowledge Base integration, and contextual search.

o Promote effective knowledge consumption within the portal.

  • Upgrades, Source Control & Testing

o Support platform upgrades by validating portal functionality and remediating issues.

o Utilize Source Control (Git) and ServiceNow’s Studio for version management.

o Conduct unit testing, regression testing, and cross-browser testing for all portal components.

  • Knowledge of CSM workflows and how they integrate with Service Portal.
