Centennial Technologies is seeking a ServiceNow Senior Developer / Technical Lead to support the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions for federal clients. This role serves as a hands-on technical leader, responsible for guiding development efforts, ensuring best practices, and delivering scalable, high-quality ServiceNow capabilities.
Unlike an Architect, this role is execution-focused, with responsibility for solution implementation, team guidance, and technical quality, rather than enterprise-wide architecture ownership. Requirements:
- Lead the design and development of ServiceNow solutions across modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, or custom applications
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions and platform configurations
- Serve as a technical lead for development teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and code reviews
- Develop and customize ServiceNow applications using: Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Automation workflows
- Support integration efforts with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and third-party tools
- Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, coding standards, and platform governance
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the platform
- Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to align solutions with overall platform strategy
- Support testing activities, including unit testing, system testing, and deployment validation
- Contribute to documentation, including technical design documents and implementation guides
Required Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and implementation
- Strong hands-on experience with: JavaScript, Glide API, ServiceNow scripting, Core ServiceNow modules, (ITSM required; others preferred)
- Experience developing custom applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform
- Proven ability to lead development efforts or serve as a technical point of contact
- Experience with integrations (REST, SOAP, APIs, MID Server)
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional ServiceNow modules such as: ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SecOps, GRC
- Experience in federal or public sector environments
- Familiarity with platform upgrades, releases, and instance management
- Exposure to DevOps/DevSecOps practices within ServiceNow delivery
- Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small teams
Certifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (required)
- ServiceNow Certified application Developer (preferred)
- Additional ServiceNow certifications (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, CSM) are a plus
Clearance Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

- Location: Hybrid – At least 4 days onsite in Tysons Corner, VA.
