The Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides information technology leadership and support to the Georgia Institute of Technology, working in partnership with academic and business units to meet the unique needs of a leading research university. OIT serves as the primary source of enterprise-wide information technology and telecommunications services in support of students, faculty, staff, and researchers.

Job Summary
Technology Strategist is responsible for developing and executing technology strategies that align with the institution¿s mission and long-term goals, while driving innovation and enhancing operational efficiency. This role involves evaluating emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for digital transformation, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of technology across the organization. The strategist plays a key role in shaping the institution¿s technological vision and ensuring that IT initiatives support strategic priorities.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Develop and implement comprehensive technology strategies that align with the institution's long-term goals and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Job Duty 2 -
Analyze emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in the institution's technology landscape.
Job Duty 3 -
Conduct assessments of current technology systems and processes to identify gaps and recommend enhancements that drive performance and effectiveness.
Job Duty 4 -
Lead cross-functional teams in the evaluation and selection of technology solutions, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and budget constraints.
Job Duty 5 -
Establish key performance indicators to measure the success of technology initiatives and provide regular reports to senior leadership on progress and outcomes.

Facilitate training and development programs for staff to ensure they are equipped to utilize new technologies effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities
The ServiceNow Solutions Architect will be a key member of the Digital Business Enablement team within the Office of Information Technology, collaborating with Program Leads, Executive Sponsors, and business stakeholders to design and deliver enterprise ServiceNow solutions across Human Resources, Finance, Administrative, and Technology Services. Solutions are expected to align with ServiceNow platform best practices, be scalable and sustainable, and support robust performance analytics to enable continuous improvement. This role also provides mentorship and technical guidance to ServiceNow product owners and developers within Digital Business and the Citizen Developer Program.
Educational Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent, related experience.
Other Required Qualifications
Must possess or be able to obtain state of Georgia license within one year
Required Experience
8+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Leadership skills, including working with diverse groups collaboratively in gaining consensus; leadership specific to IT services and support units (help desks and public computing facilities, infrastructure, administrative, etc.); professional staff management; negotiating complex contracts
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree in related discipline or equivalent, related experience.
Preferred Certifications
- ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA) or ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist
Preferred Skills
- Proven experience architecting and implementing ServiceNow solutions across multiple product lines, including HR Service Delivery (HRSD), IT Service Management (ITSM), and Customer Service Management (CSM), within complex business environments; experience in Higher Education is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated confidence in engaging executive level stakeholders, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business language.
- Expert knowledge of the Common Services Data Model (CSDM) and a proven ability to apply its concepts to real world operational and architectural scenarios.
- Experience working with Agile development teams and modern delivery practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently while contributing effectively within cross functional teams.
Proposed Salary
$116,775 - $142,500 depending on experience and preferred skills.
