As a Service Now-Asset & Configuration module Consultant, your role will involve the following responsibilities:

• ITSM Platform Expertise: You are expected to have in-depth knowledge of platforms like Service Now, including configuration, workflow development, and integrations.

• CMDB Mastery: Your responsibilities will include building, maintaining, data normalization, dependency mapping, and managing CI attributes and relationships within the CMDB.

• IT Asset Management (ITAM): You will be accountable for full asset lifecycle management (from procurement to disposal), inventory control, and ensuring compliance with asset management protocols.

• Discovery Tools: It is crucial for you to have familiarity with tools that populate CMDBs, such as Service Now Discovery.

• Data Integration & Scripting: You should be proficient in using APIs, import sets, and scripting languages like Java Script and Python for data loading and automation purposes.

• Reporting & Analytics: Your role will involve creating dashboards, reports, and analyzing metrics (including KPIs and cost) using built-in tools or Excel functionalities like VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.

• Infrastructure Knowledge: You are expected to have a solid understanding of operating systems, networks, cloud services, hardware, and software.

• Strong understanding of ITILv4 processes and frameworks: It is essential for you to have a strong grasp of ITILv4 processes and frameworks to excel in this role.

• Experience in defined practice area required: Previous experience in the defined practice area is necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this role effectively.
