Position: Senior ServiceNow Platform Administrator
Location: Hybrid with Periodic Travel Required
Role Overview:
The Senior ServiceNow Platform Administrator is a key player in managing and enhancing the ServiceNow platform. This role involves comprehensive administration, advanced configuration, stability, and ongoing improvements to ensure that ServiceNow effectively supports business processes and adheres to governance standards. You will collaborate closely with IT departments, process owners, integrators, and vendors to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Platform Management: Take full ownership of ServiceNow administration, including core configuration, system properties, plugins, and upgrades.
- Advanced Configurations: Lead complex system configuration tasks to optimize the platform's capabilities.
- Troubleshooting Expertise: Serve as the primary escalation point for intricate platform issues and configuration challenges.
User and Access Governance:
- Monitor user, group, and role management, focusing on security and maintainability.
- Define and enforce role-based access models and governance standards.
- Review and approve access and configuration modifications to maintain platform integrity.
Workflow Automation & Process Enhancement:
- Design and implement workflows and automation to drive operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with process owners to convert business requirements into scalable solutions.
- Promote continuous enhancement of ITSM and other ServiceNow-supported processes.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Lead the creation of detailed reports and dashboards for operational visibility.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting data across modules.
- Help stakeholders effectively interpret and utilize ServiceNow metrics.
- Contribute to administrator training, documentation, and knowledge sharing for sustainable platform management.
- Develop and uphold configuration standards and best practices for administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in ServiceNow components (workflows, Flow Designer, scripts, ACLs, update sets).
- Strong understanding of ITSM processes and enterprise service management.
- Experience with ServiceNow administration, focusing on CMDB/Configuration Management.
- Experience coordinating platform releases across multiple environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication abilities.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow in an enterprise setting.
- Master's Degree is a plus.
- Experience with ServiceNow implementations and upgrades.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) preferred.
- Experience as a technical lead or platform owner for ServiceNow is advantageous.
