Overview
CTG is seeking a ServiceNow SAM Licensing Consultant for a long-term engagement with our client supporting enterprise ServiceNow transformation and Software Asset Management (SAM) optimization initiatives.
Location: San Jose, CA Duration: 11 months
Role OverviewThis consultant will support enterprise clients in implementing and optimizing ServiceNow solutions with a strong focus on Software Asset Management (SAM), licensing compliance, and IT asset governance. The role requires hands-on configuration of ServiceNow modules, integration with enterprise systems, and expertise in software licensing and entitlement reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities- Configure and implement ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITAM, SAM, CMDB, and workflow automation
- Lead or support ServiceNow instance deployments for large enterprise environments
- Optimize Software Asset Management (SAM) processes including discovery, normalization, and license reconciliation
- Ensure accurate entitlement management and software compliance across enterprise systems
- Integrate ServiceNow with tools such as Epic EMR, Azure DevOps, SCCM, and identity platforms
- Analyze existing ITAM/SAM processes and recommend improvements in governance, data quality, and operating models
- Develop dashboards and reporting to improve asset visibility and licensing efficiency
- Support SAM audit readiness and compliance reporting
Required Skills & Experience- Strong hands-on ServiceNow experience (ITSM, ITAM, SAM, CMDB)
- Deep understanding of software licensing models and SAM audit processes
- Experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro and/or tools such as Flexera or Snow
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise IT systems
- Background in IT operations, cloud environments, and configuration management baselines
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator preferred
- ITIL v4 Foundation preferred
Nice to Have- Experience supporting enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations
- Exposure to regulated industries (healthcare, insurance, financial services, retail)
- Experience working in consulting or client-facing delivery roles
Education- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75.00 to $82.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
